Who with ?
The people involved in the scheme are divided into 4 categories:
the project leader
heads of companies
the participants or partners within the park
company personnel
The project leader
What is his or her role?
The project leader is the person who coordinates the project. He/she may be appointed by a party involved in the Business Park (either by a district authority, a local authority, the local development agency) and/or may work for one of these parties.
The project leader may be surrounded by a team: this is the steering committeeA team which may surround the project leader throughout the project This committee may comprise heads of companies, members of district authorities, public or private partners, etc..
He/she should primarily:
- guide and lead the sustainable collective management project on the business park,
- enable the project to be adopted by all partners,
- draw up an inventory (a snapshot) of the environmental situation on the business park,
- coordinate all stages of the project,
- promote and raise awareness of the project.
What are his/her skills?
The project leader must be an excellent communicator and have experience of coordinating team projects. He/she represents an interest in the world of business and the environment.
Moreover, the project leader must either have sufficient technical knowledge (depending on the actions to be taken) or have access to external resources. Within the Union Wallonne des Entreprises, for example, the Team of Environmental Advisors is able to place its know-how at the disposal of companies, specifically by conducting various assessments (waste, energy, etc.)Heads of companies

The head of a company will often be the first point of contact. Thereafter, he/she may delegate responsibility to a representativeA person appointed by the head of the company to monitor an action. The representative will be asked, for example, to coordinate action within the company. This representative may be the company’s environment officer or energy officer., entrusted with coordinating action within his or her company.
